Mat's Mercedes - BNZDWN
1985 Mercedes Benz 280SE
When we decided to bag this Merc, we wanted to go for a completely "stock" look. We thought we could have a lot of fun with this, surprising people when we hit the switches.

Set up
We decided to run RE6 Slam bags all round, as we needed a super reliable heavy-duty bag to cope with the weight of such a large vehicle. Custom top and bottom bag mounts were fabricated for the front and rear. The front brackets were positioned so that the stock front shocks could be reused in their factory fitted position, which worked out perfect, the front raises and drops down onto its bump stops with ease. The rear was more involved but with the same good result as the front. All tanks, pumps, valves and associated parts have been fitted to a sub frame, which is mounted in the boot area. This method was chosen as it allowed us to really showcase all of the parts used in such a system and there was no real need for any boot space to be left.
The controller finds its new home in the centre console for easy access.
It was decided that the stock rims would stay as we felt they suited the stance of the car.
Future plans – None at this stage, we wanted to keep this car as stock as we could and we are more than happy with the end result.
